Shop Fine Art PrintsA desert fox pauses among warm Southwestern grasses, alert to every sound around him. Desert Fox captures a quiet encounter with the wild—a moment of stillness, curiosity, and unmistakable character.
I created Desert Fox for a fundraiser benefiting the Kingman Center for the Arts in Kingman, Arizona.
I wanted the fox to emerge clearly from the warm, earthy background while keeping the painting soft and painterly. His bright eyes and attentive expression became the focus, with the surrounding grasses suggesting the desert without competing for attention.
